Meet Debbie Crenshaw

I am proud to say that I have been involved with Camp Big Heart for 30+ years. My involvement began when Warner Robins Civitan Club asked me to find campers that they could sponsor to attend CBH. After teaching special education for 30 years & upon retirement, I was honored to join the CBH board. I know firsthand how much camp means to my students & their parents! I enjoy promoting CBH & recruiting campers in our community, writing grants, & securing local community sponsors to provide services for our amazing camp! Camp Big Heart is THE best thing that happens to many of our campers!

Camp Big Heart means inclusion. At CBH we create a space where individuals with disabilities are seen, valued, and given the freedom to be fully themselves. Camp Big Heart represents inclusion in action, not just in words. Camp Big Heart builds a unique community for our staff and campers. Here, differences aren’t obstacles; they’re part of what makes the camp strong and meaningful. We get the privilege of empowering others—staff, volunteers, and campers—to believe in their abilities and to support one another.
