Meet Skip Malcom

I've been involved with the Civitan Club since 2001 and became aware of Camp Big Heart as one of the projects that we sponsored each year. I've always felt pulled to helping those with mental or physical handicaps. I was asked to become a part of the board last year. Proud to be a part of it.

Camp Big Heart means inclusion. At CBH we create a space where individuals with disabilities are seen, valued, and given the freedom to be fully themselves. Camp Big Heart represents inclusion in action, not just in words. Camp Big Heart builds a unique community for our staff and campers. Here, differences aren’t obstacles; they’re part of what makes the camp strong and meaningful. We get the privilege of empowering others—staff, volunteers, and campers—to believe in their abilities and to support one another.
